The maximum price of gasoline, diesel and home heating fuels saw another rise in Newfoundland and Labrador Friday.
The Public Utilities Board increased the maximum price for gasoline by 2.4 cents per litre. Diesel increased by 6.7 cents per litre in Newfoundland, and by 7.2 cents per litre in Labrador West and Churchill Falls.
The change puts maximum gas prices on the Avalon Peninsula at just under $1.69 per litre. Elsewhere in Newfoundland, drivers will pay between $1.69 and $1.84, depending on where they fuel up, while gas prices in Labrador now range between $1.60 and $1.87 per litre.

An extraordinary pricing adjustment was made by the PUB on Thursday, which saw diesel prices drop by 12.3 cents per litre — and by over 14 cents in Labrador West and Churchill Falls — before Friday's increase.
Gas prices have risen across Canada over the last week, driven by volatility in oil markets as the war in the Middle East continues.
The price of furnace oil also increased Friday, up over 5.8 cents per litre in Newfoundland. Customers will now pay between maximum prices between $1.69 and $1.89 depending on their location.
In Labrador West and Churchill Falls, the price of stove oil increased by over 6.2 cents per litre. Those prices now range between $1.28 and $1.78 per litre across the Big Land.
Propane also increased in price by 2.9 cents per litre, putting prices between $1.14 and $1.29 per litre in Newfoundland and between $1.01 and $1.25 per litre in Labrador.
