Toll 781 with 10 deaths — 9 in Puducherry & 1 in Karaikal
The COVID-19 toll in Puducherry swelled to 781 with 10 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours even while new cases surged to a high of 1,258 on Wednesday. Puducherry recorded nine deaths and Karaikal one. The patients, including seven women, were in the 47 to 94 years age segment, and four of them had no co-morbidities. With this, the region-wise toll is Puducherry (629), Karaikal (91), Yanam (48) and Mahe (13).
