French woman attacked by polar bear in Norway, escapes with only minor injuries

A French woman was attacked by a polar bear in Norway’s remote Arctic Svalbard Islands on Monday morning. The woman escaped with only minor injuries.
Authorities responded to the news of the attack, which came shortly before 8:30 a.m., by flying there in a helicopter, chief superintendent Stein Olav Bredli.
