Francisco Lindor knows the one key question the Mets need to answer
NY Post
PORT ST. LUCIE — The baseball calendar says the Mets have about two weeks until Opening Day, but Francisco Lindor’s mind is on another timetable as these dog days of spring training pass.
Lindor’s wife, Katia, is due to give birth to the couple’s third child (and first son) on April 9. Lindor is thinking the baby might arrive early.
“I am trying to see my baby boy be born soon,” Lindor said following a workout Tuesday at Clover Park. “Once that happens my mind will shift to Opening Day.”
It’s been business as usual in camp for Lindor, who in his fifth season with the club is far removed from novelty item status among the Mets fan base.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.
