Former India U-19 captain Avi Barot has died after suffering a cardiac arrest at a shockingly young age of 29. Barot was also a member of the 2019-20 Ranji Trophy winning team of Saurashtra.

Former India U-19 captain Avi Barot has died after suffering a cardiac arrest, the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) said. Our hearts bleed as outstanding player and very noble being Avi Barot is no more with us. It’s extremely shocking and saddening. May his noble soul be in shelter of benevolent Almighty. The player, who also represented Haryana and Gujarat in his career, died on Friday.
