Forest guards allege attack by Telangana minister’s supporters in Khammam forest, case booked

Three Forest guards alleged that they were attacked on January 30 by the kin of Telangana transport minister’s personal assistant while attempting to seize vehicles involved in illegal quarrying.
Forest guards D Srinivas, B Ravi and Daniel of the Khammam forest range were allegedly attacked on January 30 by the kin of the personal assistant of Telangana transport minister, Puvvada Ajay Kumar.
The forest guards have complained to the police.
Forest sleuths were attempting to seize earthmovers and trucks involved in illegal quarrying in the reserve forest under transport minister Ajay Kumar’s Khammam constituency limits in Khammam district.
Based on specific information, the forest sleuths were inspecting reserve forest compartment number 43, where the accused had been illegally querying.
The forest guards alleged that Jaladi Rama Rao and his son Jaladi Sandeep claimed themselves as the minister Ajay Kumar’s assistant, Kiran, and abused them in filthy language. The accused even threatened them with facing dire consequences for seizing the vehicles.
Forest personnel objected to the questioning of the accused. The two associates started an argument with the forest staff and abused them. Meanwhile, they punched guards Ravi and Srinivasa.
The forest staff filed a complaint with the Raghunadhapalem police.
