Ford and Whipple’s new supercharger kit gives 2024–26 Mustang GT and Dark Horse models a big boost. Here's how much it costs and what it's capable of.
Average Ford Mustangs across the country are about to get major upgrades thanks to a new supercharger kit.
The Ford Mustang is an American sports car that's affordable and comes in performance-oriented trims. It's the company's oldest continuously produced nameplate and it has become iconic over decades of desirable model years.
Ford's Mustang is already capable and it's about to get even more impressive thanks to an optional performance enhancement.
Ford Racing Parts has partnered with Whipple Superchargers to develop a new supercharger kit for the Mustang, says its media site Ford From the Road. This kit grants 2024-2026 GT and Dark Horse V8 models a maximum of 810 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque. That's a mind-blowing amount of power for such a small vehicle.
The Mustang GT ($46,560) and Dark Horse ($64,080) are both eligible for a $10,500 supercharger kit that’s available now. While the price may seem steep, the upgrade delivers a substantial performance bump — adding roughly 330 horsepower to the GT and around 310 horsepower to the Dark Horse.
