Doha, Qatar: Restaurants and food service sector across Qatar are continuing to operate smoothly as the country navigates the impact of extraordinary circumstances following Iran’s recent attacks, with many in the sector expressing confidence in the nation’s preparedness and safety measures.
While the developments have heightened public awareness, daily commercial activity across the hospitality sector has largely remained steady, supported by clear guidance from authorities and the country’s strong emergency and security systems.
The Peninsula spoke to a cross-section of restaurant operators, food business owners and industry voices, many of whom said they are continuing operations while prioritising the safety of staff and customers.
“Despite the situation, all our outlets remain open for dining as usual during the holy month of Ramadan, from Iftar to Suhoor,” said COO of Oryx Group for Food Services, Vyanktesh Jaiswal. “For customer convenience, we have a delivery team of 70 riders and are available on all major food delivery platforms.”
Oryx Group operates 12 Nando’s outlets, along with one Ocean Basket and one Oodles Wok restaurant in Qatar.
