A flex board with a photograph of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the words "God of Kerala" written in Malayalam appeared near a temple in Kerala's Malappuram district. A photo of the board soon went viral on social media and triggered a controversy. The board read, "You asked who God is, people said the one who provides food. God of Kerala." It was placed above the board of Pacheeri Mahavishnu Temple in Valanchery.
