
Fire strikes New Jersey's historic Singer sewing machine factory

A four-alarm fire broke out at an industrial park in Elizabeth, New Jersey, which was once the site of the first Singer Sewing Machine factory in the U.S.
The large industrial building is south of Newark Liberty International Airport and a strait from the New York City borough of Staten Island. A huge plume of smoke could be seen from Manhattan.
