Fire Breaks Out At UP Hospital, Patients Moved Out; Probe Ordered

A fire broke out in the cardiology department of a hospital in Uttar Pradesh this morning, the police said, adding there were no immediate reports of casualties. At least 146 patients were admitted in Hriday Rog Sansthan located in Kanpur district when the fire broke out around 8 am, the police said, adding all the patients were moved to safety. "Fire is under control. 146 patients were safely evacuated. Nine patients are still in ICU but they are medically safe and sound. No casualty reported from fire brigade as of now," a police official said.
