IND vs NZ, 5th T20I Highlights
True to his reputation, Suryakumar brought up the landmark in breathtaking fashion, carving a wide full-toss free hit from Lockie Ferguson past short third for a boundary. The stroke summed up his audacious brilliance and supreme confidence at the crease. In the process, he also became only the third Indian after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to score 3,000 T20I runs.
Suryakumar eventually signed off with a scintillating 63 off just 30 balls, leaving the field to a standing ovation and underlining his status as India’s most dangerous T20 weapon heading into the World Cup.
Suryakumar tore through the New Zealand bowling attack with an explosive display of power and precision. Suryakumar came to bat after India had lost the wickets of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma in pretty quick succession. From the outset, SKY looked in total control, punishing anything in the slot.
