
Federal telework isn’t going away when COVID ends: ‘Face time is not a proxy for performance’

The top HR manager for the federal government said telework policies are here to stay for federal workers, even after the COVID emergency ends in May.
Ahuja spoke at the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, where she said telework delivers benefits both to the government and to its nearly 2 million employees. Pete Kasperowicz is a politics editor at Fox News Digital.
"These benefits include increased productivity, higher employee engagement, lower employee attrition, expanded recruitment pools, and cost savings for both agencies and employees," she said.
