CNN
Sports apparel unicorn Fanatics is having a great summer. It is set to take over the Major League Baseball card deal from Topps and also scored a goal when Lionel Messi signed with PSG. Fanatics has a merchandise deal with the French soccer club.
As a result, the more than 80-year-old Topps pulled the plug Friday on its plans to go public through a merger with a blank check special purpose acquisition company. The MLB deal is the latest splashy coup for Fanatics.More Related News
