Nawab Malik's son-in-law Sameer Khan was granted bail on September 27 after the court found no evidence of a drug syndicate.
NCP leader Nawab Malik said that his family had been traumatised for eight and half months after his son-in-law, Sameer Khan, was arrested on charges of drug trafficking and conspiracy. Sameer Khan was granted bail on September 27 after the court found no evidence of a drug syndicate except for the statements of Khan and the co-accused involved in the case.
“BJP leaders kept talking about my son-in-law. They said my son-in-law was a drug smuggler. Even a former CM made such comments,” Malik said, adding, “I said that no one is above the law and that I have full faith in the judiciary. We received the written bail orders yesterday.”
