Fact Check: Morphed image of AAP banner says now Gujarat will read namaaz

India Today Anti Fake News War Room (AFWA) has found that the viral picture is morphed. The original poster says, “Now Gujarat will change”. There is no mention of namaaz or Hindu rituals on the original poster.

Gujarat will go to polls next year in what promises to be a tri-cornered contest unlike in the past. The text on the said banner asks people to discard Hindu religious activities such as Bhagwat recital and Satyanarayan puja. The banner carries the pictures of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and two other people.
