Ex-Goa CM Digambar Kamat likely to be booked in Louis Berger bribery case after court go-ahead

A Goa court has ordered that charges be framed against former Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat in connection with money laundering in the Louis Berger bribery case.

A Goa court has cleared the way to frame charges against former Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat, former state public works department minister Churchill Alemao and others in connection with money laundering in the Louis Berger bribery case. Responding to a complaint filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the money laundering case, judge Sherin Paul of the special court in Mapusa on Thursday ordered that charges be framed against Digambar Kamat and Alemao, who have been asked to remain present before the court on July 26.
