The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised the alarm on Europe’s “unacceptably slow” rollout of COVID-19 vaccines as it warned of a “worrying” surge in coronavirus infections. WHO Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge said on Wednesday that the sluggish start to immunisation programmes across the continent was “prolonging” the pandemic. “Vaccines present our best way out of this pandemic. Not only do they work, they are also highly effective in preventing infection,” he said in a statement.More Related News
