EU accuses Apple of breaking antitrust law over music streaming
CNN
European regulators have accused Apple of violating EU antitrust law, saying the company's app store rules unfairly restrict rival music services.
Margrethe Vestager, the European Commission's top antitrust official, said Friday that the bloc had reached the "preliminary conclusion" that Apple is in breach of competition law. The company's music service competes with streaming services "but Apple charges high commission fees on rivals in the App store and forbids them to inform of alternative subscription options," she said in a post on Twitter. "Consumers losing out," she added.More Related News
