Kasturba Hospital, Manipal resumes cashless ESIS basic care services, ensuring quality healthcare for insured patients in Mangaluru.
The Kasturba Hospital, Manipal and associated hospitals have restarted basic care facilities in cashless mode under the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme (ESIS), following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ESIS, according to a press release from the hospital.
As of Wednesday, ESIS beneficiaries can avail cashless admission facilities. The renewal of the arrangement between the hospital and ESIS was temporarily held up due to various reasons. It was now resolved, thus ensuring that insured patients get uninterrupted access to quality basic health services.
ESIS beneficiaries can obtain referral letters and seek admission at the Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, Dr. TMA Pai Rotary Hospital, Karkala and Durga Sanjeevani Manipal Hospital, Kateel. MAHE Chief Operating Officer (Teaching Hospitals) Sudhakar Kantipudi said that MAHE remained committed to providing accessible, affordable and quality healthcare services to ESIS beneficiaries across the region.
The release stated that patients and ESIS cardholders have to approach their respective ESI dispensaries for referral documentation. They can also contact the respective hospital help desks for further assistance regarding admissions, the release stated.
