Envoys hail Qatar’s World Cup preparations, fight against COVID-19

Doha: Driven by a resolve to serve the country and ensure the best for citizens and residents alike, Qatar’s development has recorded a meteoric rise over the last decade. In a meeting with the Editors-in-Chief of Qatari newspapers, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, reiterated Qatar’s commitment to establishing a sustainable society, fair and inclusive participation in government.

Consequently, diplomatic missions in Qatar have hailed the announcement made by the Prime Minister that Qatar will provide one million vaccines for fans attending the FIFA World Cup 2022. The envoys also commented on Qatar’s economic, infrastructural and social growth powered by the Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030) and its preparations for the 2022 World Cup. Commenting on the meeting of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani with the Editors-in-Chief of the Qatar newspapers, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Qatar H E Zhou Jian said that the Prime Minister interview is an inspiring and encouraging statement.
