Doha, Qatar: Turkish companies have become reliable partners in Qatar’s development projects, while Qatari investors contribute to growth and job creation in Türkiye, said Ambassador of Türkiye to Qatar H E Dr. Mustafa Göksu.
“Thanks to the wise leadership of H E President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, this brotherhood has evolved into a model strategic partnership. In recent years, relations between Türkiye and Qatar have developed rapidly, reaching an exemplary level of regional and international cooperation,” he said, while addressing a reception yesterday on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.
The reception was attended by Speaker of the Shura Council H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim, Minister of Labour H E Dr. Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al Marri, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H E Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al-Muraikhi, Minister of State and President of the Qatar National Library H E Dr. Hamad Al-Kawari, and a number of ambassadors and other distinguished guests.
Talking about Qatar-Turkiye ties, the Ambassador said to date, more than 120 agreements and memoranda of understanding have been signed between the two countries, covering all areas of life. “Our economic cooperation has extended beyond our borders, encompassing joint projects in various parts of the world — spreading prosperity to other regions as well.
“Türkiye and Qatar have always stood by each other in difficult times. In this regard, I reaffirm that Türkiye — as in the past — will continue today and in the future to stand by our sisterly State of Qatar, supporting its sovereignty and security with all our capabilities in the face of any threat or aggression.”
