The world of English football is set to unite behind a social media boycott in a bid to combat the sustained racist abuse received by players online.
Clubs in the Premier League, English Football League, Women's Super League and Women's Championship, along with the game's governing bodies and organizations such as Kick It Out, will turn off their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts from April 30 until May 1. In a joint statement, the group said the boycott hoped to "emphasise that social media companies must do more to eradicate online hate."More Related News
