Doha,Qatar: The Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department will embark on the electronic selection process for the shortlisted applicants to perform the Hajj pilgrimage for the 1447 AH season, starting from Dec. 2, 2025, the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has announced.
The ministry highlighted that the process is part of regulatory procedures that aim to facilitate the provision of services to pilgrims of the State of Qatar and ensure transparency in the selection process.
The department clarified that it will relay SMS messages to those who have been shortlisted so they can further finalize the registration process at the accredited Hajj operators and reach out to them directly, stressing that non-compliance with the deadline will lead to the cancellation of the approval.
Applicants who receive approval SMS should complete the registration procedures at one of the 24 pilgrimage operators within seven days from the date of approval receipt via the website: www.hajj.gov.qa, to avoid risking cancellation of this approval following the expiration of this deadline, the department highlighted.
It further explained that during the registration process, applicants shall pay QAR 10,000 in advance, which will later be deducted from the total Hajj cost, in addition to signing the electronic contract to choose the operator they prefer through the online system.
