The Maharashtra government told the Bombay High Court that it sent to the Governor a list with names of 12 persons to be nominated to the Legislative Council eight months ago. However, the Governor has not taken a decision on the same, the government told the court.
The Maharashtra government on Monday moved the Bombay High Court against Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, saying he has not acted on the list sent by the state government eight months ago which had names of 12 persons who were to be nominated to the Legislative Council. In a seven-page affidavit filed before the court, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government said that on November 6, 2020, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray sent the list to Governor with details of 12 individuals to be nominated as members of the Legislative Council.More Related News
