Three drug peddlers were arrested and over one kg of drugs worth Rs 6.50 crore was seized in two separate operations in Assam's Karbi Anglong district in the last 48 hours.

According to the reports, Karbi Anglong district police led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Bokajan had set up several naka checking at Khatkhati, Borpathar and Dilai area on Saturday.When a suspected vehicle fled away from Khatkhati area and moved towards Borpathar area, the police team of Borpathar police station trapped the vehicle at Silanijan area. During search, the police team had recovered 698 grams of heroin from the vehicle.
