Even with the pandemic, the stock market enjoyed gains in 2020 and 2021. But is the party on Wall Street over?
The Dow is on track to fall for the fifth straight week and was flat in midday trade. It's down about 1% for the week and more than 8.5% so far this year.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq — which were down 0.4% and 1.2% Friday and on track to drop about 2% this week — have fared even worse in 2022. The S&P 500 is down 11% this year while the Nasdaq is off 17%.

A defiant Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is testifying before an investigative Georgia Senate Committee on Wednesday. The committee scrutinized her prosecution of President Donald Trump and multiple codefendants, at one point cutting Willis’ microphone briefly when she testified beyond the question she was asked.
