Domestic help arrested in Bengaluru for stealing ₹1 crore worth of gold, diamonds, and cash from a couple's home.

The J.B. Nagar police have arrested a domestic help for allegedly stealing gold and diamond jewellery along with cash, totally amounting to ₹1 crore, from the house of his employer in Bengaluru.
According to police, the complaint was lodged on January 21, by the residents of a villa located at Kodihalli, Rustumbagh Main Road, under the limits of the J.B. Nagar police station. The complainants, originally from Texas, USA, are a husband and wife working in an MNC in Bengaluru.
The complainants stated that they had left for work on the morning of January 21. On returning home in the evening, they noticed that gold and diamond jewellery kept inside a bedroom locker was missing. They suspected their domestic help, who had been working in the house for the past six months.
Based on their complaint, a case was registered and police launched an investigation. Within a few hours, police traced and apprehended the domestic help near the villa of the complainants.
During questioning, police said, he confessed to the theft and revealed that he had hidden the stolen jewellery in his residence at Sudhamanagar.
