Doha to host three major billiards and snooker meets

Doha: Doha will host three major billiards and snooker events (the Asian Snooker Championship, the Six-red World Championship and the GCC Billiards and Snooker), organised by the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation from September 11 to 28. It will be the first time a country hosts these three major championships in succession, separated by only a few days.

The competitions will start with the Asian championship from Sept. 12 to 16, then the Six-red World Championship from Sept. 17 to 21, followed by the GCC Billiards and Snooker Championship from Sept. 22 to 28, amid strict precautionary measures in line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Public Health to limit the spread of the coronavirus. The general assemblies of the two Asian federations will be held on the sidelines of the competitions.
