Doha Festival City and QNTC announce winners of first-ever digital raffle draw

Doha Festival City, Qatar's one and only choice for shopping, dining and entertainment, wraps up its one-of-a-kind “Spend & Win” Raffle Draw in partnership with Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), and sponsored by luxury automobile company, Universal Motors - Lotus. The finale of the raffle draw, held 100% via a digital platform and managed by QNTC, was announced on April 9th where winners were revealed online, and broadcast live on Doha Festival City YouTube channel. A Qatari national Maryem Mohamed Ahmed Abu Moza was announced winner of the Raffle Draw’s Grand Prize - a Lotus Evora 400 4x4, valued at QAR 439,000.  Another 21 winners received high value prizes from a host of Doha Festival City retailers who all co-sponsored the exciting ‘Spend and Win” Raffle Draw prizes. The prizes included a 30,000 QAR voucher from the renowned Swiss watchmaker Frederique Constant ; 12,000 QAR vouchers from Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm. The One, Vodafone, Design Studios, Muji, Antione Karam, Mothercare, Laura Ashley, Giftshed and ACE also provided exclusive gifts to the raffle draw winners.  Robert Hall, Doha Festival City General Manager, commented: “We are delighted to be able to provide our customers with such a unique shopping experience and offering them incredible giveaways from our retailers as well as the luxury automobile company, Universal Motors-Lotus. We are grateful to the support of QNTC who ensured the smooth running of the raffle draw’s finale as well as all our retailers and partners that contributed to this wonderful event. We congratulate all the winners!”.  Chief Operating Officer of Qatar National Tourism Council, Berthold Trenkel said, “QNTC closely works with its partners from the private sector, providing the necessary support that enables them to develop attractive promotions and activations that energizes the retail sector while introducing innovative solutions to ensure the safety of the customers and staff. We congratulate Doha Festival City for successfully executing its first ever contact-less Raffle Draw.” During the month of Ramadan between April 12th to April 24th, the Mall’s trading hours will be from 10:00 to 15:00, and from 19:00 to 00:00, while the hypermarket will be open continuously from 09:00 to 00:00. From April 25th to May 11th, general mall trading hours will be from 10:00 to 00:00, with an option to trade until 01:00. The Hypermarket will be open continuously from 09:00 to 00:00.  In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning, and sanitization operations during mall trading hours, 225 hand sanitizing stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces. At the entrance to the mall and all shops, visitors must show their green Ehteraz QR code, and should wear a face mask during their whole time in the mall. Following the latest government restrictions, kids below 16 years old are not allowed to enter the mall, and the mall continues to operate with overall capacity and parking spaces reduced to 30%. All food courts, restaurants and cafés are closed until further notice, with takeaway and delivery options still available. Fitting rooms of all retail stores, prayer rooms and ablution areas, health and beauty centers, Edge Fitness, kids’ playgrounds, play centers and theme parks are closed until further notice.  Physical distancing stickers in common queuing areas, such as ATM machines, banks, telecommunication kiosks and branches and various retail shops were installed to help shoppers keep the required physical distance as set forth in the guidelines by the authorities. Stores will provide sanitizers on entry and at cash points to ensure the highest level of hygiene.
