After more than six months of baseball, a month of playoffs and six games in this World Series, the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers are underway with the title on the line. • An epic matchup on the mound: It’s a duel that has baseball fans’ mouths watering: LA’s show-stopping superstar Shohei Ohtani is facing Toronto’s grizzled veteran star Max Scherzer. The starters may not last long, and every option is on the table. • Dodgers survived Friday night: It took a great play from Kiké Hernández and a base-running error by the Blue Jays at the wrong time for LA to ultimately prevail 3-1 in Game 6 on Friday night. • Score: It’s 0-0 in the top of the 2nd inning. Toronto leadoff man George Springer laced a hard-hit single off Shohei Ohtani to get the Jays and the Canadian crowd off to a hot start. Ohtani bounced back to strike out Nathan Lukes with a splitter to bring up Toronto’s centerpiece, Vladimir Guerrero, Jr.
