DMK condemns AIADMK and BJP for betraying Tamil Nadu students in NEET issue, urges voters to save the state.
The DMK cadres distributed pamphlets condemning both the AIADMK and the BJP ‘for betraying the Tamil Nadu students’ in the NEET issue.
The DMK members, led by Palayamkottai MLA M. Abdul Wahab, distributed pamphlets to the public at Palayamkottai market ground.
The pamphlet held AIADMK general secretary and former Chief Minster Edappadi K. Palaniswami responsible for allowing NEET in Tamil Nadu, “which has driven several students to commit suicide”. Even though he had fully understood that the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah were behind this tragedy, the AIADMK had forged electoral alliance with the BJP and was projecting himself as anti-NEET crusader, one of the pamphlets distributed in the agitation said.
Another pamphlet squarely blamed the National Democratic Alliance partners for supporting Centre’s Farm Laws, Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizens and signing in the ‘Uday Scheme’ when he was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, which had jacked-up the power tariff in the State. Apart from this, the Centre was imposing Hindi on Tamils, refusing to release its due share from the taxes collected from Tamil Nadu and pushing hard the delimitation based on population with the objective of cutting the number of Parliamentary constituencies in the State, the pamphlet charged.
The leaflet appealed to the Tamil Nadu voters to save the State from the “wicked and betrayal alliance”.
Similar agitation was organised at Kalakkad also.
