A diamond necklace worth Rs 46.6 lakh went missing from Congress senior leader Dr KVP Ramachandra Rao’s residence in Hyderabad. It was later found in the kitchen.
In a shocking incident, a diamond necklace worth Rs 46.6 lakh went missing from Congress senior leader Dr KVP Ramachandra Rao’s residence at Banjara Hills Road in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
As per the reports, his wife revealed that she wore the necklace for a function last month and had put it back in the almirah. However, the diamond necklace was found missing on Monday. The other ornaments were intact in the almirah.
While she suspects four of her servants who have access to their bedroom, the actual accused behind the theft is yet to be found.
The Banjara Hill police were investigating the case. However, within 12 hours of the complaint being filed, Rao's wife informed the police that her necklace had been found in their kitchen and withdrew the complaint.
