Despite Iran’s Efforts to Block Internet, Technology Has Helped Fuel Outrage

The president called on Britain, China, France, Japan, and South Korea to send warships to secure the route. Iran has effectively choked off traffic in the narrow waterway, through which a fifth of the world’s oil must transit.

Top clerics said Mojtaba Khamenei will succeed his slain father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Israeli military said it was attacking Tehran and Beirut early Monday, and Iran said it had launched missiles toward Israel.
