Department of Meteorology warns of thundery rain in eastern areas associated with strong wind and high sea

Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Tuesday will be partly cloudy with chance of scattered rain, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report. Offshore will be hazy and cloudy with chance of scattered rain maybe thundery in eastern areas, the report added, warning of thundery rain in eastern areas associated with strong wind and high sea. Wind inshore will be mainly southeasterly at a speed of 05 to 15 knot gusting to 20 knot at places. Offshore, it will be mainly southeasterly 08 to 18 knot gusting to 30 knot during thundery rain. Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometer. Sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet rising to 5 feet at times. Offshore it will be 3 to 5 feet rises to 10 feet during thundery rain.
