Delhi riots: Don't want hate speech on the platform, FB India tells Assembly panel

The committee, chaired by AAP MLA Raghav Chadha, asked several questions on how Facebook India moderates problematic and inflammatory content on the platform.

Appearing before the Delhi Assembly’s Peace and Harmony Committee in connection with the 2020 northeast Delhi riots, Facebook India public policy director Shivnath Thukral said Facebook India and its advertisers don't want hate speech on the platform.

During the meeting at Delhi Vidhan Sabha, the committee, chaired by AAP MLA Raghav Chadha, asked several questions on how Facebook India moderates problematic and inflammatory content on the platform.
