Delhi Police arrest 11, including 9 women, in Shahdara sexual assault case

A total of 11 people, including 9 women have been arrested in connection with the incident in Kasturba Nagar in Shahdara District of Delhi.
New Delhi: The Delhi police have arrested 11 people, including nine women, in the alleged sexual assault case of a 20-year-old in Delhi’s Shahdra. The police on Friday (January 28, 2022) arrested four people in the case, while the other seven were arrested on Thursday.
Police officials confirmed that the sexual assault on the victim was due to personal enmity. The incident took place in Kasturba Nagar of Shahdara District where a woman was allegedly abducted, gang-raped and paraded on the streets with her face blackened with ink, head shaved and with a garland of shoes around her neck.
