Delhi BJP leaders protested near Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) headquarters on Wednesday against alleged Rs.5000 crore bus scam.
Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders staged a demonstration protesting against what they called a Rs 5,000-crore Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) scam. The protest took place on Wednesday near its headquarters in Delhi’s Indraprastha area. Delhi BJP vice president, Ashok Goel Devraha, said, “The buses normally have a three-year guarantee period and hence there was no need to have a contract with any private company for maintenance. The fact is that more money is being spent on maintenance than what was spent on their purchase. In other words, Rs 900 crore for 1,000 buses and a total of Rs 3,500 crore for maintenance a year. This is a scam.”More Related News
