Delhi begins spraying Pusa bio-decomposer in fields to prevent stubble burning
India Today
The Delhi government began spraying the Pusa bio-decomposer across fields in the city to prevent stubble burning, Environment Minister Gopal Rai said on Monday.
Johny Pehelwan is a Delhi-based farmer. Until two years back, he used to burn the stubble standing in his field after the harvest of the paddy crops. However, in 2020, he took a small step towards transition. As an experiment, Pehelwan got himself registered for the Delhi government’s bio-decomposer scheme and got the solution sprayed on nearly five acres of his farms.
This year, the North Delhi farmer is appealing to others to come forward and get themselves registered for the program aimed at reducing the high-levels of air pollution in the national capital.
