Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launches OPD portal to provide telemedicine services to armed force personnel

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday launched SeHAT OPD portal that will provide telemedicine services to the armed force personnel, veterans and their families.

With an aim to reduce the burden on hospitals amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday launched an online medical consultation service for the armed force personnel, veterans and their families through video conferencing. The ‘Services e-Health Assistance & Tele-consultation (SeHAT) OPD portal' will provide telemedicine services to the beneficiaries. The services can be availed by registering on the website https://sehatopd.in/, the Ministry of Defence an official statement said. Rajnath Singh called the SeHAT OPD portal as a great example of innovation, especially at a time when the nation is fighting the Covid-19 crisis.
