A bipartisan coalition of Republicans and Democrats hope to override the Uniform Time Act in 1966 and permanently stay on Daylight Saving Time and never revert to Standard Time.
Turns out, in fact there is law. Chad Pergram currently serves as a senior congressional correspondent for FOX News Channel (FNC). He joined the network in September 2007 and is based out of Washington, D.C.
Several in fact, mandating when Daylight Saving Time begins. When Standard Time begins.
The most prominent law was passage by Congress of the Uniform Time Act in 1966. There was adoption of a massive energy bill in 2004 which shrunk Standard Time to just four months.
