Day’Ron Sharpe set for welcomed Nets return after knee injury
NY Post
Day’Ron Sharpe is the latest injured Net who’s set to return.
Sharpe is set to play Tuesday against the Celtics after being out since Jan. 7 with left knee hypertension.
And from what he’s seen, he’s looking forward to playing with new addition Dennis Schröder, who can also split time at point guard with Dennis Smith Jr.
“You know they’re gonna pass the ball to the bigs,’’ Sharpe said of the duo. “I’m just ready to play with the other Dennis [Schröder] to get a feel for him, too.”
Sharpe is confident Schröder’s experience, coupled with that of Smith Jr., will be valuable.
“I just feel like he gives me the same vibe that Dennis Smith gives me,’’ Sharpe said. “Play hard, make the right play, try to win.”

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
