‘Creepy’ Boston Dynamics robot dog dances in glittery blue costume: ‘Nightmare fuel’
NY Post
Humans aren’t the only beings in danger of being replaced by robots.
A video of Boston Dynamics’ iconic robo-dog Spot dancing in a blue dog costume freaked out social media users with many labeling the canine cosplay “fuel for nightmares.”
“Sparkles is a custom costume designed just for Spot,” wrote the robotics firm in the caption to the unsettling video, which amassed over 1.1 million views since Monday.
The dystopian clip, uploaded in honor of International Dance Day, begins with “Sparkles” performing a complex routine while another unadorned Spot model looks on.
Then, seemingly jealous of its counterpart hogging the Spot-light, the latter quadruped joins in and the duo executes a synchronized dance sequence so flawless it appears computer generated.
It appears that one can teach old robo-dogs new tricks.

The killing of Iran’s tyrannical Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Saturday in an unprecedented joint military attack by the US and Israel called Operation Epic Fury set off widespread celebrations from Iranians around the world — as President Trump said it would give them their “greatest chance” to “take back the country.” Meanwhile, in Iran, a lack of internet has made it impossible for Iranians to easily communicate daily conditions. Over a period of three days, with limited VPN connection, an eyewitness currently in Tehran — who, for her safety, is concealing her identity — shared her account of life under a country in the midst of battle with The Post’s Natasha Pearlman.
