Congress will be needed for any future alternative alliance to fight BJP: Sharad Pawar

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar said on Friday that the Congress will be needed to be taken along if any alternative alliance is to be formed in future against the BJP. NCP supremo's statement comes days after the meeting of eight opposition parties chaired by him, in which no Congress leader was present, that sparked speculation that the agenda of the meeting was to discuss a possible alliance which could be an alternative to the BJP.
