Tribune News NetworkDohaMinister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani met with UK’s Minister for International Trade Ranil Jayawardena, in Doha on Wednesday.The two sides discussed ways to develop bilateral relations in various fields. Moreover, the meeting reviewed a number of issues of common interest aimed at strengthening cooperation in the sectors of trade, investment, and industry.In the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the successful economic policies Qatar has put in place to support the private sector, and pointed out the incentives, legislations, and promising opportunities that are aimed at encouraging British investors, businessmen, and business owners to invest in Qatar.The volume of trade exchange between Qatar and the United Kingdom amounted to nearly $4.54 billion in 2021, ranking the UK as Qatar’s seventh biggest trade partner.
