CNN editors called the segment at the center of a defamation suit an "infernal story," but the network aired it anyway, according to the plaintiff’s attorney.

"Of course, CNN has produced no such evidence," Young’s lead counsel Vel Freedman wrote in a court filing obtained by Fox News Digital.
