Requests 32,000 tonnes of Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP) and 10,000 tonnes of Muriate of Potash (MoP)
With farmers facing shortage of Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP) and Muriate of Potash (MoP) for taking up sowing operations in the rabi season, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai called on Union Minister for Fertilisers, Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya in Delhi with a request for additional supply of nutrients to Karnataka.
He sought 32,000 tonnes of DAP, which is the preferred fertiliser across Karnataka, and 10,000 tonnes of MoP for the rabi season. The Union Minister has assured supply in a week. The Centre has allocated 79,860 tonnes of urea to Karnataka, and there is no shortage, Mr. Bommai said.
