Clippers’ wet celebration irks Kawhi Leonard after career-best 55-point outburst
NY Post
The Pistons couldn’t bother Kawhi Leonard one bit during one of the best games of his career Sunday night, but his teammates sure found a way to irk him.
Just after the Clippers superstar poured in a career-high 55 points on 17-of-26 shooting in a 112-99 victory over Detroit, Leonard celebrated his incredible feat with his Los Angeles squad in a manner that he certainly didn’t seem to approve of.
As the 34-year-old, two-time Finals MVP returned from the court to the Intuit Dome locker room, the Clippers showered him with bottles of water.
Not only did Leonard appear to be rattled by the liquid’s temp, he also noted it ruined his fresh ‘do.
“I’m sending all y’all an invoice,” Leonard could be heard saying in a video the Clippers posted on their Instagram page. “Y’all gotta get my hair braided again.”
Leonard didn’t seem too annoyed, however, as he did crack some wry smiles during the festivities.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
