Class 12 Board exam results: Puducherry registers pass percentage of 98.53
The Puducherry and Karaikal regions have registered a pass percentage of 98.53 in the Class 12 board examinations held in March this year, a slight increase from the pass percentage recorded in both the regions during the previous year’s exams, which stood at 97.85.
In a press release, the Directorate of School Education on Thursday (May 8, 2025) said 7,564 students of private schools appeared for the Class 12 exams in both regions. Of them, 3,683 were girls and 3,881 were boys. Of the total 7,453 students who passed the exam, 3,659 were girls and 3,794 were boys. The pass percentage among girls was 99.35 and among boys, 97.76.
The overall pass percentage in Puducherry region was 98.57 and in Karaikal, 98.12.
As many as 582 students from both the regions secured subject-wise centum marks. Computer science tops the list with 253 centum-holders, followed by Computer Application with 122, French with 75, Accountancy with 29, and Mathematics with 28. There are 23 centum holders in Chemistry, 16 in Commerce, and 12 in Economics. The other subjects have only single digit centum-holders, as per the results data.
