Christmas isn't just for Christians: Here's why
Fox News
At Christmas, remember that what was happening in the ancient world at the dawn of the first century was really not so different from what we’re experiencing in the 21st century.
Dr. Robert Jeffress is senior pastor of the 16,000-member First Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas, and is a Fox News contributor. His daily radio program, "Pathway to Victory," is heard on more than 1,000 stations nationwide, and his weekly television program is seen in 195 countries around the world. Jeffress has appeared on many media outlets, such as "Fox & Friends," "Hannity," "Good Morning America" and "Real Time with Bill Maher." He is the author of nearly 30 books, including "Not All Roads Lead to Heaven," "Choosing the Extraordinary Life" and "18 Minutes with Jesus," which will be available nationwide Oct. 4, 2022. He lives in Dallas.
With all of these legitimate concerns, why take time to focus on the birth of one baby in an out-of-the-way little village called Bethlehem more than 2,000 years ago? How can we focus on Christmas when what we’re experiencing in our world seems so urgent and so unprecedented?
If you think about it, what was happening in the ancient world at the dawn of the first century was really not so different from what we’re experiencing in the 21st century.
